Scholarship Opportunity for Nepali Undergraduate Students
The Association of Nepalese Mathematicians in America (ANMA) invites scholarship applications from third-year undergraduate students at universities in Nepal who are majoring in, or intend to major in, mathematics, statistics, or mathematics education. Up to fifteen students will be selected based on the eligibility criteria below.
Scholarship Benefits
- Each selected recipient will be eligible to receive up to NPR 50,000, payable in two installments over two years. The second installment is contingent upon satisfactory academic progress during the preceding year and is not guaranteed.
- Recipients will have opportunities to connect with mathematics professionals and academics.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must
- Be a Nepali citizen.
- Be enrolled in the third year under the annual system, or the fifth or sixth semester under the semester system, of a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, or Bachelor of Science program at a university in Nepal.
- Be majoring in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics education, or currently taking mathematics courses with the intention of majoring in one of these fields in the following academic year.
- Demonstrate academic excellence and a strong interest in mathematics.

- A Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Copies of academic transcripts from previous years or semesters
- Names and contact information for two references, at least one of whom must be the applicant’s mathematics instructor. WhatsApp numbers are preferred.
Application Deadline: Thursday, November 26, 2026 (Thursday, 10 Mangsir, 2083)
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for virtual interviews with the selection committee. ANMA may seek input from the Nepal Mathematical Society (NMS) during the selection process. Scholarship amounts and certificates will be distributed in coordination with the NMS.
